We ordered lots of small dim sum and everything was handmade. The pork shumai and signature pan-fried dumplings were amazing!
The owner was super friendly and I enjoyed the overall experience. Will definitely be back🌟
No thrills restaurant. Dim sum very authentic, absolutely delicious!! Lamb and carrot, beef, prawn and chive dumplings all amazing. Dan Dan Noodles also good, as was the egg and tomato noodle. No alcohol served but you can take your own if spending £15pp which is easily done and there is an off licence only 1 mins walk away on the same side of the street.
Favourite place to eat in the area. Been working my way through the menu for the past couple months and my favourites (so far) are the chicken and mushroom fried dumplings, the sichuan spicy chicken wings and the shanghai pork buns. It’s hard to choose to be honest because everything is great. Sometimes they also have specials just not very well advertised, it would be at the back of the room on a board, worth checking. Both specials I had were soups, one was beef and one was pork and they didn’t skimp on the meat. Really really good! They deserve all the praise they get. If you visit make sure to bring cash!
Top tier dim sum spot! A tasteful 2 page menu with half dim sum, half mains. The dim sum offered all the classics as well as some fun wild cards - curry chicken, lamb & carrot, roast duck - all for around £5 for 4pcs. The main dishes are excellent too - Dan Dan noodles, mapo tofu, Szechuan chicken, twice fried aubergine - YUM! The quality was really high and the flavours excellent, totally on par with China Town. Also they do free corkage! Service was really friendly and the vibe was great. Highly recommend!
We were craving dumplings, this place popped up and we have zero regrets. The place looks a bit run down, but the food more than makes up for it. Everything we had was absolutely delicious - definitely close off your meal with the coconut buns because YUM!
